Our Organization
Founded in San Diego, Serving the World
The San Diego County Amateur Radio Council, Inc. (SANDARC) was formed in 1958 by San Diego area Amateur Radio organizations to further the goals of Amateur Radio and its member clubs throughout the region.
We are a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization. While our roots are in San Diego, our online testing program allows us to serve Amateur Radio operators around the globe. Our mission is to serve the needs of the general public interested in becoming Amateur Radio Operators and to educate the community about the services that Amateur Radio provides.
We are in the process of filing for 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, so that we may accept donations that will help SANDARC continue with its charitable and educational goals.
